Filter design

Emisar is an Optum licensed brand and I designed four products for the Emisar suite, one of them was Formulary Intelligence. Formulary Intelligence shows the prescriptions of a certain drug within certain formularies. The novel parts of this dashboard are the ‘Top Formularies’ selection and the ‘Formularies Position’ table. The formulary selected updates the list of associated sub-formularies, and these selections are used to refresh the charts below. An important part of the work was to collaborate with the Product Owner to document all the design requirements for ‘Top Formularies’ e.g. requirements on default selections, how to handle less than 10 items in both columns, sub-formulary selections when changing the formulary, and formulary/sub-formulary selections when changing the ‘Show’ dropdown. The development process was more waterfall than agile and as a mark of success there was no rework or design changes during the execution phase or after delivery.
